FAQ

Q1: What’s the standard filter cartridge inside the housing?

A: Standard is PP pleated membrane cartridge, common micron: 0.22μm(sterile grade for pure steam), 0.45μm,1μm,5μm. Stainless steel sintered metal cartridge is optional for high-temperature industrial saturated steam.

Q2: Can the PP pleated cartridge withstand repeated steam sterilization?

A: Yes, standard PP cartridge supports 135℃ in-line SIP steam sterilization, normally over 50 times repeated sterilization without damage, fits pharmaceutical & beverage GMP production.

Q3: What’s the difference between 0.22μm and 5μm steam filter?

A: 0.22μm is sterile filtration to remove bacteria & pyrogen for pure steam; 5μm is coarse filtration only to trap rust, welding slag, scale for common industrial boiler steam.

Q4: How often should I replace the filter cartridge?

A: Depends on steam cleanliness: Pure steam(pharma/food): replace every 3~6 months; common boiler industrial steam: replace every 1~3 months when pressure drop obviously rises.

Q5: Can I clean and reuse the filter cartridge?

A: PP pleated cartridge can be backwashed with purified water for secondary use; sintered stainless steel cartridge can be ultrasonic cleaned for long-term reuse.

Q6: Can you customize filter size, port size or housing material?

A: Yes, custom service available: SS304/SS316L/Hastelloy housing, custom port size DN15~DN200, 1/3/5 cores multi-cartridge housing as client’s flow requirement.
